Remember that on-location heaven I was talking about in Hailey’s senior pictures post? Well, this is part of that. We had to hike a teeny bit (I love hiking!) but the colors were so beautiful and so worth that teeny hike. And this is OCTOBER!
On-location in Idaho doesn’t sound that exciting, right? But really, it’s fantastic! So many places to choose from.
I took my yearly trip up to Idaho to visit my sister. Her family has a “Giant Garden” named Ashland Produce. Her husband farms and then sells the produce to the local grocery stores and every year they grow a very large pumpkin patch. My kids love to go out there and pick the perfect pumpkin to take home. It’s a 4 hour trip to get there but so worth the perfect pumpkins and other delicious produce we get to take home. Not to mention, I get to see my sister!
I always make the best of my trip and take pictures while I’m there. Sometimes it’s her kids’ senior pictures sometimes it’s family pictures but always we get great pictures in the pumpkin patch too.
Now, without further adieu, here’s talented and beautiful Hailey!
It was so fun to be with these kids. The love that they have for each other is obvious and so sweet.
And how cool is this location? A super old fence with blue mountains and yellow prairie grass in the background. Even sometimes those mountains look purple. Just depends on the day.
We all love it when there’s a gentlemen around, right ladies? Meet Peter. Woodworker, “Who” fan, gentleman.
A whole family of blondes and all girls too! Such cuties!
The sunflowers only come out once a year, and for only one month. We found a good patch of them on a road less traveled. I imagine it may have been a busy road up until the main roads went in. I’d bet those old roads have a sweet story.
Have you ever been in the room when somebody, or yourself, is having a baby? The miracle-ness of the whole thing is palpable and you just can’t help but cry.
This birth story is about my sister. She’s a beach body coach and worked out until she was 41 weeks pregnant when they finally induced her. Being induced was a bit different for her. This was her 3rd labor and she had gone into labor on her own with the other 2. She was an amazing laborer and smiled even though those tough contractions.
