Hamaker – Family Pictures

These guys. They work so hard.

Mom is a nurse working three jobs at times and does graveyard shifts. She’s working toward the job that gets you onto the life flight helicopter. She’s amazing and so, so smart.

Dad is a woodworker and incredibly talented. He makes works of art and also sells unique pieces of wood to buyers. You can find his beautiful pieces here. Sometimes he even moves 200 pound logs by himself. What?!

Did I mention that they work hard? And why? Well, because we die if we don’t work, but mostly it’s because they love their two little cutie girls so much. SO much!

Mom is also talented at making amazing photo prop scenes. The cute lemonade sign and all the props were put together by her. And you can tell, the girls had a blast with it.

Siena – Senior

Graduation is over and summer is here! But before we celebrate, I have to show this girl off. You know what she loves? Disneyland. She mentioned to me how much fun it would be to work there. Can’t you just see her as sleeping beauty? But even working custodial. That’d be cool too.

Her dream is Disney but for now she’ll be going to school in the fall at a college a few hours from home. I’m excited for her to be in the real world and learn first hand how hard it is to adult. Haha! All kidding aside, I know she will be an amazing adult. Good luck to you, beautiful girl! I wish you all the successes, loves and dream come trues there are.

Isaac – Senior

This little location out in Eagle Mountain is great. I wish it had more shade though. Sometimes I worry about the pictures being so bright because the sun shines directly on the back of somebody. But, just as we were about to shoot, the clouds moved in and made it the perfect lighting for us to get just the right amount of rim light on Isaac. Such a blessing.

Penny – Senior

That. Was. Fun!

Penny and I stopped at random places in Eagle Mountain and Lehi as we drove to the destination I had in mind, and we still had enough light to finish up just before the sun went down. The swing was our last destination and we almost forgot about it. I’m so glad we “hung a U-ie” and finished up there.

…and just for fun, I’ll throw this one in there. Oh, look! It’s me!

My Home Studio

My home studio is in the front room of my house. You would never know looking at these, right? I make it work with the lighting and the equipment that I have. My house isn’t super big but the vaulted ceilings make it so I can put the lights and the backdrops up high if I need to. It always turns out great! I prefer on-location natural lighting but when it’s below 40 degrees, it’s just nice to have the option to go inside.
