Katie’s Baptism Session

Katie’s getting baptized!  8 is certainly great!

Katie is my cousin’s daughter. She had a fever on the day we were going to do take her baptism pictures. So, we decided that we would take them during our family Christmas party.  I brought a backdrop and set it up in front of my Mom’s sliding glass door in the back of the house.  It worked great!  I don’t shoot indoor-natural light very often but sometimes you just work with whatever you’re given.  I think they turned out super cute.

Baptisms are the Best

mount-timpanogos-temple-baptism-photographyThis weekend my daughter was baptized and became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She’s awesome about getting out of bed herself, making her own breakfast, getting dressed and making her own lunch for school. A dream child right? How did I get so lucky? She is the happiest child and brings so much joy to our family. She’s a good friend and sister. She’s quick to give a hug and loves to receive them. I’m so glad she’s mine. And again, how did I get so lucky?

My Niece, Rachel – Eagle Mountain Child Photographer

I had the opportunity (thanks to fall break falling on just the right weekend) to go to Idaho and see my niece get baptized.  I couldn’t help but get tear-y as Rachel giggled while getting in the water and was baptized by immersion.  I love you Rachel and I hope you like your pictures.

If you’d like to learn more about being baptized by immersion, or about our church in general, check out mormon.org.
